BJP released the list of candidates for MLC elections in Bihar, Bhojpuri power star Pawan Singh got the ticket.
Bihar BJP MLC Candidate List: The biggest news of this time is coming out from the political corridors of Bihar. Bharatiya Janata Party has released the official list of its four candidates for Bihar Legislative Council elections. As soon as this list came out, the political temperature of the state has suddenly increased. This time BJP has taken some such decisions in ticket distribution, which even political pundits had not expected.
The party has prepared a great mix of famous faces and old loyal leaders to strengthen its hold on the ground. Since the arrival of this list, the stir in the opposition camp has intensified and a round of speculations has started.
The equation changed with the explosive entry of Pawan Singh
The most shocking and big name in this list of BJP is that of Bhojpuri cinema’s power star Pawan Singh. This time Bharatiya Janata Party has surprised everyone by making Pawan Singh the MLC candidate. Pawan Singh’s popularity is very high among the youth and Bhojpuri belt. The party has given him ticket from Rajput community quota.

What do political experts say?
Political experts believe that making Pawan Singh a candidate will give great strength to BJP not only in Bihar but also in Purvanchal region of neighboring state Uttar Pradesh. Now BJP is preparing to convert the crowd that gathered in Pawan Singh’s public meetings into its vote bank.
Relying on experience and loyalty
Along with the glamor of Pawan Singh, BJP has also given full respect to its old and organizationally strong leaders. Senior party leader Sanjay Mayukh has once again got a chance to go to the Upper House. BJP has made him its candidate for the third time. Sanjay Mayukh belongs to the Kayastha community and has been playing an important role in the media management and organization of the party from Delhi to Patna for a long time. Considering his long experience and image as a trouble-shooter, the top leadership has reposed confidence in him. By giving ticket to Sanjay Mayukh, the party has tried to give a big message to its core voters also.
Big effort to help the most backward class
This time in the list, BJP has not only played the upper caste card but has also put forward two big faces to win over the extremely backward class at the grassroots level. The party has also made Anil Thakur and Sheela Pandit its MLC candidates. Anil Thakur comes from the barber community, which is considered a very important part of the extremely backward class. On the other hand, Sheela belongs to Pandit Prajapati i.e. potter community. By giving tickets to the representatives of these two classes, BJP has made it clear that it does not want to let any class stay away from itself in the upcoming elections.
Masterstroke of ethnic and social balance
If we look at this entire strategy of BJP carefully, it is clear that the party has prepared this list after completely churning the social equations. In this, two upper caste and two extremely backward class candidates have been given place. Along with this, women’s representation has also been taken care of by putting forward Sheela Pandit. Political analysts say that this time BJP has taken a gamble of taking the entire society along instead of depending on any one class. This balance can prove to be very beneficial for NDA in the coming days.
JDU and BJP have similar thinking
Meanwhile, another very interesting discussion is going on in the political circles of Bihar. If sources are to be believed, it is being said that a woman and a candidate from the potter community will be included in the list coming from Janata Dal United. At the same time, BJP has also given place to Sheela Pandit, a woman and coming from the potter community, in its list. This similar thinking of both the major allies is being considered very important in the politics of Bihar. It seems that both the major parties of NDA have started working together on the ground as per a well thought out strategy.
Doubts and new discussions on the name of Deepak Prakash
While there is happiness with the arrival of some names in this entire list, the market of discussions has heated up due to the disappearance of a big name. According to inside news, the name of Deepak Prakash, son of former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha, has not been included in the list of either JDU or BJP. Earlier it was being speculated that Deepak Prakash could be sent to the Upper House while following the coalition principle. But now after his name disappeared from the list, various questions have started being raised in political circles. People are desperate to know whether Upendra Kushwaha agrees with this decision or whether a new tussle is about to start within the NDA.
However, this new candidate list of BJP has made it clear that the NDA alliance is completely serious about the elections. This ticket distribution, done keeping in mind the caste and social equations, has posed a big challenge to the opponents.
