In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of discrimination in the use of water cannon during the protests. Saurabh Bhardwaj has alleged that for better visuals, the government sprinkles water cannons during BJP’s protests in the scorching heat, whereas the Aam Aadmi Party protesters are not treated like this.
Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that Delhi Police has used water cannon on BJP leaders and workers during most of the BJP’s protests in the summer season in the last decade. This method has been adopted to provide coolness in summer as well as to get better pictures in the media.

‘Protesters go cold’
Saurabh Bhardwaj said, ‘In the eyes of the BJP ruled Centre, Delhi Police was often seen resorting to water jets to keep these protests under control. Due to this, the protesters also cool down and the effect of heat is reduced.
