PM Modi enumerated the achievements of the government, said that India has seen big changes in 12 years
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined the country’s development journey and public welfare achievements on the occasion of completion of 12 years of his government at the Centre. He said that during this entire tenure, the main objective of the government has been to extend the benefits of development to the people standing at the last rung of the society and this thinking has decided the direction of policy making.
In messages shared on the social media platform ‘X’, the Prime Minister said that his government has been inspired by the principle of ‘Antyodaya’, under which efforts have been made to connect the long-deprived and marginalized sections with the mainstream. He said that the benefits of development are now reaching the people directly and as a result major changes have been seen at the socio-economic level.
Referring to schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Ayushman Bharat, he said that these programs have provided dignified life, health security and basic facilities to crores of citizens.
The Prime Minister said that technology has made the governance system more transparent and effective. Government assistance through DBT and digital platforms is reaching the bank accounts of beneficiaries directly, eliminating the role of middlemen and helping curb corruption. This has also increased administrative efficiency and strengthened public confidence.
He said that this journey of poor welfare is no longer limited to only government schemes, but has taken the form of a broad people’s movement, whose aim is to move towards building a developed India. The Prime Minister said that the reforms in the last 12 years have given new energy to the country’s development pace and these efforts will be further intensified in the coming years, due to which India will establish a new identity at the global level.
