‘Take whatever means you get and leave immediately’, the Indian Embassy’s strictest order for Indians stranded in Iran.
The Middle East is once again sitting on a pile of gunpowder. This new war that broke out between Iran and Israel has left the whole world holding its breath. The military conflict between the two countries has increased to such an extent that now even the foreign citizens living there are in great danger. In view of the worsening situation, the Indian Embassy in Iran has quickly issued a very strict advisory, in which Indian citizens have been appealed to leave Iran immediately without wasting time.
Abstain from travelling, leave immediately wherever you are!
On Monday, the Government of India issued very clear and strictly worded guidelines for its citizens. The government has clearly said that no Indian citizen should make the mistake of traveling to Iran at this time. Along with this, the government has advised those who are already living in different parts of Iran to leave the country as soon as possible, using whatever means available. Issuing this warning, the Indian Embassy in Tehran said that in view of the dangerous conditions in the area, they are reiterating their old advisory in more stringent words.
“Keeping in mind the recent developments and security situation in the region, the Embassy advises all Indian citizens to completely avoid any travel to Iran,” the embassy said in its official statement. Along with this, the Embassy further added that the Indians who are currently stranded in Iran should immediately leave from there to safe places using available means of transport (flight or other routes).
Why did the situation in the Middle East suddenly deteriorate?
Now the question arises that what happened suddenly that the Indian Government had to issue such a big warning? In fact, in the early hours of Monday, once again a direct and fierce military attack started between Israel and Iran. This latest and deadly conflict threatens a devastating war across the Middle East.
According to reports, on Monday morning the Israeli army targeted several important targets of Iran. In this attack, a big petrochemical plant located in ‘Mahshahr’, south-western area of Iran has also been badly affected. Iran also gave a befitting reply to this audacity of Israel. Without wasting any time, Iran fired missiles at Israeli military bases. Both the countries have confirmed this gruesome military action and bombardment that lasted throughout the night.
Why is this time’s advisory different and serious?
This new advisory issued by the Government of India is very important and worrying because in the month of April this year, after weeks of heavy tension, there was a ceasefire between the two countries. But this latest attack on Monday has completely broken that ceasefire.
Although the Indian government has been issuing advisories from time to time regarding Iran since the beginning of this year, this time its stance is the strictest and most aggressive. In earlier warnings, the government was only advising to ‘exercise caution’ or ‘stay in touch with the embassy’, but this time, considering the ground reality and the seriousness of the threat, citizens have been bluntly told to ‘leave the country immediately’.
