Why was the ban on bulk purchasing imposed?

According to media reports, an order has been issued by the government to ban bulk purchasing of petrol and diesel. In this order, it was said that this has happened because industrial, commercial and institutional customers have started purchasing from retail outlets due to the difference in retail and bulk selling prices. The Petroleum Ministry said that the “current geopolitical situation in some parts of the world” has impacted the international petroleum supply chain, shipping logistics and the availability of petroleum products.

How much oil will we get in a day?

According to media reports, under the new guidelines, the government has fixed the limit of daily oil supply to stop big and suspicious buyers, due to which more oil will not be given to the customers. According to the new guidelines, now a customer or vehicle can buy a maximum of 200 liters of diesel in a day from a petrol pump. At the same time, action can also be taken against breaking the rules.
