Tension between the countries of the Middle East has increased once again. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has clearly said that America and Israel are responsible for the increasing unrest in the region. Meanwhile, Israel has attacked Hezbollah targets in Lebanon’s capital Beirut, due to which the atmosphere has worsened.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said that America is directly responsible for increasing tension in West Asia. He says that Israel and Washington are working together. Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf also said that America does not have the will or ability to fulfill its responsibilities.
On behalf of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a joint statement. He said that Israel will not tolerate firing on its soil. Another minister, Bezalel Smotrich, has talked about demolishing buildings in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has appealed to all parties to stop the attacks. He said that the agreement to stop the war is very close and no one should spoil it. He described Hezbollah’s attack as small and insignificant.
United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres has also expressed deep concern over this situation. They have demanded an immediate halt to all attacks and adherence to ceasefires in Lebanon, Iran and Gaza.
Let us tell you that a ceasefire came into effect on 8 April. Iran believes that America is part of this agreement, therefore America is responsible for violating the rules. Iran has also appealed to the Gulf countries not to allow their territories or facilities to be used by America and Israel.
