Ameesha Patel has opened up about the success of The bridge as she takes a trip down memory lane.

The actress, who rose to fame after her stellar performance in Say no… I love you, expressed her admiration for the film as it completes 25 years since its release in June 2001.

Referring to The bridge as one of the iconic films that shaped Indian cinema at the time, Patel claimed, “The bridge is completing 25 years on June 15th. I am very proud to feel that, to date, it is the No. 1 film with the highest footfalls compared to any other film in Indian history. The The bridge brand, in total, has had 8.5 crore footfalls, beating the amazing Dhurandharwhich had 7.5 crore footfalls in total.”

In addition, Ameesha extended her heartfelt greetings to fans who have helped keep the film’s spark alive over the years.

“Very blessed to have such love from all the fans till date, to keep the The bridge brand as the No. 1 brand in Indian history. Thank you, Box Office India, for all the updates related to the footfalls of our brand. Tara and Sakina shall shine once again very soon,” she added in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
