Weather Update Today 15 June: The Meteorological Department has shared relief news for the people facing the scorching heat in many parts of the country, although along with it a heavy warning has also been issued. According to the latest forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather pattern is going to change completely in 13 states of the country on June 15. Monsoon has once again gained its pace, due to which thunderstorms and heavy rain activities will be seen in large parts of the country within the next few hours.
Winds will blow at a speed of 80
IMD has issued a thunderstorm alert in a total of 13 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. According to meteorologists, during this period the wind speed can reach 60 to 80 kilometers per hour.
Especially in Northeast and Eastern India, heavy rains are expected to continue for the next 6-7 days. Due to this weather, serious conditions like waterlogging, traffic disruption and landslides in hilly areas can arise, hence tourists and local residents have been advised to take special precautions.
Weather of Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh
Some relief from the heat is also expected in the country’s capital Delhi. The Meteorological Department has predicted movement of clouds and light rain in Delhi-NCR from June 15 to 17. ‘Yellow Alert’ in Delhi for today; Has been issued, where winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 60 km.
Whereas, if we talk about Uttar Pradesh, there are chances of rain with thunder in eastern districts like Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Mau and Ballia. Yellow alert has also been issued in areas like Agra, Aligarh and Mathura of western Uttar Pradesh. The department says that the intensity of rain will increase further in eastern Uttar Pradesh between June 18 and 20.
Monsoon sounds in Bihar and Rajasthan
Pre-monsoon activities have started in Bihar. There is a thunderstorm alert in many districts of the state including West Champaran, Saran and Aurangabad. There is a possibility that the south-west monsoon will completely enter Bihar in the next 4-5 days, which may cause heavy rains in some areas of the state on June 16.
The weather will remain harsh in Rajasthan also. There is a possibility of severe thunderstorm and rain in cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner during June 15 to 20, where the wind speed can reach up to 80 km per hour.
How will the weather be in the hilly states?
Intermittent rain and strong winds will continue in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir for the next 5 days. Light to moderate rain is also expected in districts like Nainital and Pauri of Uttarakhand. In view of the activeness of monsoon, IMD has given an important warning to fishermen.
In the affected parts of the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, strict advice has been given not to go into the sea till June 19. Southwest Monsoon is now rapidly moving towards more parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
