India’s First Toyota eBella Electric SUV Delivered In Odisha [Video]

Toyota, after a long wait, finally announced the prices for the eBella electric SUV for the Indian market. There were rumours about Toyota asking dealerships to cancel the bookings for the eBella and return the money to customers with interest. There are multiple theories behind this move; however, after the reports went viral, Toyota was forced to launch the EV in the market. The electric SUVs have now reached dealerships across the country, and deliveries have also commenced. The first Toyota eBella was delivered to a customer in Odisha, and videos of the same have also surfaced online.

The video has been shared by Capital Toyota on their YouTube channel as a short video. The dealership is in Bhubaneswar, and the dealership made sure that it was a special occasion for both the customer and the dealership.

The car was bought by Mr. Swain, and in order to make the occasion special, the dealership had invited State Head Animesh Pradhan. Along with him, the general manager and dealership staff delivered the first eBella SUV in India to the customer.

In the video, we see the customer along with the special guests being part of the ceremony, and once the paperwork was done, the keys to the car were handed over to the customer by the guests.

Toyota unveiled the eBella back in January this year. The car was unveiled around the same time as the Maruti eVitara. As we all know, both EVs were jointly developed by Toyota and Maruti, and they are the same vehicles except for the different exterior design.

The Toyota gets a unique front fascia with large headlamps that align with the front grille or nose. There are dotted LED DRLs that also double up as turn indicators, a neat-looking dual-tone bumper with functional air vents, 18-inch alloy wheels, clear-lens LED tail lamps, and so on. Except for the front, the SUV looks similar to the Maruti eVitara.
