Meeting between PM Modi and US President Trump, Prime Minister raised the issue of safety of sailors
New Delhi. An important meeting took place today between US President Donald Trump and PM Narendra Modi. Many important issues were discussed in this meeting. During this, Trump has described PM Modi as calm, restrained and effective. Also said that I am not like them. In fact, heads of state from all over the world were present at a working lunch at the G-7 Summit. At the same time, Trump pointed towards PM Modi and praised him. Our relationship has always been very good, and it feels great to be with you’.

After meeting Trump, PM Modi said, you know that lakhs of Indian sailors are providing their services in the world of Maritime Trade. I think their safety is equally important. Also said, we hope that there will be peace in the Middle East. We and you all agree that the opening of Hormuz is essential for the global economy.
Earlier on Tuesday, PM Modi and President Trump met during the outreach session of the G7 Summit in Evian, France. Both of them greeted each other. Trump and Modi also shook hands with each other, but the warmth was not seen like before. Since Trump became President for the second term, relations between India and America have not been the same as before. Trump has been continuously giving statements against India. First imposed tariff and then made stinging statements to India on Operation Sindoor. This has soured relations between the two.
