PM Modi-Trump Meeting: PM Modi and Trump met in G-7, US President said, ‘If India is attacked during Modi’s tenure, America will help’

PM Modi and USA President Trump Bilateral Meeting: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met US President Donald Trump during the G7 summit in Evian, France. During the meeting, PM Modi raised the issue of safety of Indian seafarers, who constitute 10 per cent of the global seafarers, and stressed its importance. He said that Modi is a very strong leader and takes a very tough stance during negotiations. Trump said that Prime Minister Modi appears calm, but is very strict in matters of negotiation and compromise.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi and President Trump met and greeted each other during a session of the G7 summit in Evian, France. Apart from this, a bilateral meeting was also organized between the two.

America will help India

During the bilateral meeting, US President Donald Trump praised the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He said that if there is any attack on India when Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister, America will be ready to help. During the meeting, PM Modi also raised the issue of safety of Indian seafarers, who constitute 10 per cent of the global seafarers, and stressed its importance.

India included as partner country

India has been invited as a partner country to the 52nd G7 summit to be held from 15 to 17 June. At the summit, Prime Minister Modi will discuss with world leaders on issues important to India and the Global South. This will be India’s 13th participation in the G7 summit and Prime Minister Modi’s seventh consecutive participation.
