‘Modi ji, stop showing off, attack paper leak mafia’ Rahul Gandhi targets government for banning Telegram
Rahul Gandhi posted on ‘X’ and said, ban on Telegram is Modi government’s new recipe to stop paper leaks.
New Delhi. Congress has questioned the government’s move to impose a temporary ban on Telegram, saying that instead of catching the thief, the victim’s house is being locked to prevent paper leaking. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should leave aside pretense and attack the paper leak mafia.
Ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, the government on Tuesday imposed a temporary ban on the use of Telegram messaging app in India till June 22. National Testing Agency (NTA) says that this step has been taken to deal with cheating racket and misinformation. Now this examination will be conducted on 21st June.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi posted on ‘X’, ban on Telegram is Modi government’s new recipe to stop paper leaks. That is, instead of catching the thief, lock the victim’s house.
He says that lakhs of students study on Telegram for years, take notes, test series, discussions… prepare in every way. The Congress leader asked how taking away that facility was the solution to the paper leak? Rahul Gandhi said, and this is not foolproof either, every student in the country knows this, and so does the paper leak mafia. Then who will be banned next? on whatsapp?
He said sarcastically, students will be searched on the day of examination. The pockets will be cut with scissors. Question papers will be sent by Air Force planes. There will be no dearth of show off. But there is not even a single attack on the root of the disease, because the paper leak mafia is flourishing under the supervision of this government, and is making the youth cry tears of blood. Former Congress President said, Modi ji, stop showing off. Attack the mafia, not the students. Listen to the ‘echoes of the students’, otherwise the youth of the country knows how to take their rights.
