SP leader Pawan Pandey targets serious allegations against Ram Mandir Trust, demands investigation from Supreme Court
While on one hand the construction work of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya remains the center of faith for crores of devotees across the country, on the other hand, serious allegations of corruption against Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust have raised big questions on the integrity of this sacred work. Former Samajwadi Party MLA and former minister Tej Narayan Pandey alias Pawan Pandey held a press conference on Wednesday and made several serious allegations against the Trust regarding corruption, irregularities in land purchase and alleged misuse of temple offerings. He has directly demanded that a judicial inquiry be conducted into the entire matter under the supervision of the Supreme Court.
In fact, Pawan Pandey has also raised questions on the credibility of the current SIT investigation. He asked why despite such serious allegations, no FIR has been registered in this matter till now. His clear allegation is that without the protection and connivance of the Trust, such a huge disturbance is not possible. This statement in itself leaves many questions, the answers to which have not been found yet and which create doubts in the minds of people.
Akhilesh Yadav had raised the issue
This is not the first time that questions have been raised over money transactions related to Ram temple. Pawan Pandey reminded in the press conference that his national president Akhilesh Yadav had first raised the issue of alleged corruption related to offerings in Ram temple and purchase of land. He made serious allegations that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, formed on the instructions of the Supreme Court, has not only breached the trust of the general public but also the Supreme Court itself, which had created it for this sacred purpose.
Appealed to the Supreme Court to take cognizance
Whereas former minister Pawan Pandey has appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognizance of this entire matter. Their demand is that in view of the seriousness of the allegations, the Trust should be dissolved immediately and the Supreme Court should order an impartial judicial inquiry under its direct supervision. He also said that until the investigation is completed, entry of all people associated with the trust into the temple premises should also be banned, so that the impartiality of the investigation is not affected in any way.
made many serious allegations
In fact, the SP leader especially emphasized on the alleged irregularities in the purchase and sale of land. He claimed that many Nazul lands in Ayodhya, properties belonging to various temples and public use lands were also included in the pilgrimage area. An even more serious allegation is that lands whose original value was very low were purchased at many times higher prices. Not only this, some such lands were also acquired, the sale and purchase of which was not possible under the rules. This raises big questions on legal process and transparency.
Let us tell you that Pawan Pandey also raised questions on the lack of transparency in the alleged cases of theft of money and jewelery from the temple. He says that if such incidents of theft have really taken place, then why has an FIR not been lodged with the police till now. He also raised doubts over the impartiality and effectiveness of the SIT investigation. He says that without any concrete complaint or FIR, in what direction can the investigation proceed.
