Uddhav’s Party Splits Again: Second big blow to Uddhav Thackeray in four years, 6 Shiv Sena-UBT MPs separated and announced support to Eknath Shinde.

New Delhi. Uddhav Thackeray has suffered a second major setback in four years. In 2022, Eknath Shinde gave a blow to Uddhav and snatched away Shiv Sena and its election symbol. Now 6 out of 9 MPs of Uddhav Thackeray’s new party Shiv Sena-UBT have also separated and submitted a letter of support to Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. According to news channel Aaj Tak, the MPs who left Uddhav Thackeray are Sanjay Deshmukh, Sanjay Jadhav, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Sanjay Dina Patil, Bhausaheb Wakchore and Omraje Nimbalkar. Listen to what Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena MLA and Maharashtra minister Sanjay Shirsat said on this.

It has been said in the news of the channel that these rebel MPs of Uddhav’s party reached Delhi on Wednesday morning by chartered plane from Mumbai, Pune and Nanded. He was also accompanied by senior leaders of Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. After reaching Delhi, everyone submitted a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker to leave the Uddhav camp and support Shinde’s Shiv Sena. Now the Lok Sabha Speaker has to decide whether Uddhav’s MPs should be allowed to join Shinde’s Shiv Sena or not. This decision is also expected to be taken in the coming days. Earlier, Uddhav’s close aide and Shiv Sena-UBT Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut had targeted the rebel MPs in a press conference in Delhi. He had also given an oath to the rebels that they would not leave Uddhav’s side, but Sanjay Raut’s tactics were foiled.

There was speculation for a long time about six MPs of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT being rebels. After these speculations, Uddhav had recently called a meeting of MPs at his residence. Then news came that many MPs did not reach the meeting. However, Sanjay Raut had claimed at that time that all the MPs either attended the meeting or joined virtually. However, Uddhav Thackeray also probably assumed that his MPs would break. For this reason, Shiv Sena-UBT parliamentary party leader Arvind Sawant had sent a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker asking that only his party should be recognized as an authorized political party in the House. In the letter sent by Arvind Sawant to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, it has been said that if any other group demands special status or recognition, then before taking a decision on it, Shiv Sena-UBT should also be given an opportunity to present their views. In the letter from Uddhav Thackeray’s party, it has been written that it reserves the right to use legal provisions under the 10th Schedule of the Constitution.
