Shiv Sena (UBT) led by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has once again split. Under ‘Operation Tiger’ led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, 6 out of 9 Lok Sabha MPs of Thackeray are going to join NDA. Six out of nine MPs did not attend the Shiv Sena (UBT) meeting in Delhi on Thursday. After this the party asked to issue show cause notices to everyone and take action against them.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Police has increased the security of six rebel Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs. All of them have now been given Y Plus category security. On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut says that traitors will need Air Force protection to escape from Shiv Sainiks. In Dharashiv, party workers talked about rubbing cow dung on the faces of those who left the party and not allowing them to roam freely in the area. Shiv Sena says that if he changes sides without resigning, he will not be allowed to enter the parliamentary constituency and his car will be burnt.

Nagesh Ashtikar
Nagesh Ashtikar has been an old Shiv Sainik. He is a resident of Nanded district of Marathwada. He had won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Hingoli seat on Shiv Sena (UBT) ticket. He had defeated Shiv Sena’s Shinde faction candidate Baburao Kadam Kohlikar. Nagesh became MLA from Hadgaon assembly seat of Nanded district in 2014. Hadgaon assembly constituency falls in Hingoli Lok Sabha seat. He is also the Director of Nanded District Central Cooperative Bank.
Sanjay Deshmukh
Sanjay Deshmukh started his politics with Shiv Sena. At that time he used to do politics under the leadership of Bala Thackeray. From 2024, Uddhav Thackeray made Sanjay Deshmukh the candidate from Yavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha seat and he became MP by winning. He had defeated Rajshree Patil of Shinde faction of Shiv Sena. He has been an MLA from Digras assembly seat.
Sanjay Deshmukh was associated with Shiv Sena since the early 90s. After this, he won the assembly elections in 1999 and 2004 as an independent candidate from Digras. He has also been the Sports Minister in the Government of Maharashtra from 2001 to 2004. Sanjay Deshmukh’s name is counted among the old leaders of Maharashtra.
Sanjay Jadhav
Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has been trusting Sanjay Jadhav for a long time. Thackeray has made him MP from Parbhani Lok Sabha seat for three consecutive terms. He has won the Lok Sabha elections consecutively in 2014, 2019 and 2024. He has also been the deputy leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray). He was considered a loyal leader of the party and Uddhav Thackeray. Sanjay Jadhav had stood with Uddhav Thackeray since the split in Shiv Sena.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he defeated Mahadev Jankar of Rashtriya Samaj Party. Before this, Sanjay Jadhav had been MLA from Parbhani in 2004 and 2009.

Sanjay Dina Patil
Sanjay Dina Patil is an MP from Mumbai North-East Lok Sabha seat. He challenged BJP on Shiv Sena (UBT) ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In this election, Sanjay Patil defeated Mihir Kotecha of BJP. Earlier, he had contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections on NCP ticket and defeated BJP leader Kirit Somaiya.
Before this, he had also been MLA from Bhandup Assembly seat on NCP ticket in 2004. At the same time, Sanjay Patil had lost the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. After this he joined Shiv Sena.
Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar
Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar is considered one of the closest MPs of Uddhav Thackeray. The party trusted him twice and made him MP. Omprakash Dharashiv became MP by winning elections from Osmanabad Lok Sabha seat in 2019 and 2024.
His image is that of a popular leader because he meets people very easily. He is also known as a Uddhav Thackeray loyalist and a public relations leader. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Nimbalkar defeated BJP’s Archana Patil by a huge margin. He defeated Rana Jagjit Singh Patil in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Bhausaheb Vakchore
Bhausaheb Wakchore is a Lok Sabha MP from Shirdi Lok Sabha seat. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he defeated the then MP Sadashiv Lokhande of Shiv Sena Shinde faction. Earlier in 2009, he had defeated Ramdas Athawale from Shirdi Lok Sabha seat as a Congress-NCP candidate. After defeating a big leader like Ramdas Athawale in his very first election, he came into limelight in entire Maharashtra.
Bhausaheb contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 on a Congress ticket but was defeated by Shiv Sena’s Sadashiv Lokhande in that election. After the defeat he joined BJP. Later he again returned to Shiv Sena.
