PoK issue echoed in UNHRC, India raised the question of roti-goli, Munir government exposed on global stage
New Delhi: From the platform of the United Nations Human Rights Council, India has once again exposed Islamabad to the world regarding the inhuman atrocities taking place in Pakistan’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Due to the repressive policies of Shahbaz Sharif government and Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, the entire PoJK is currently boiling in the fire of protest. Breaking the global silence on this serious situation, India has cornered Pakistan badly on the international stage. Indian diplomat Anupama Singh in her address at UNHRC bluntly said that the people are demanding their basic rights, food and electricity. The Pakistani government is silencing him with bullets and bayonets.
Issue of killing of protesters raised in Rawalkot
Indian diplomat Anupama Singh raised the issue of recent violence and the death of innocent civilians, especially in Rawalkote, during the ongoing session in Geneva. India clarified that the ongoing tragedy, human rights violations and repression of civilians in PoJK is entirely the result of Pakistan’s decades-old brutal policies. India adopted this tough stance when on June 14, 2026, Pakistani security forces launched a violent operation to remove the protesters who were staging a peaceful protest at the Idgah ground in Rawalakot.
bullets fired indiscriminately
According to ‘Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee’ (JKJAAC), the Pakistani Army opened indiscriminate fire on unarmed people, in which at least two protesters died on the spot and dozens were seriously injured. Immediately after this repressive operation, to avoid international criticism, internet and mobile communication services were completely disrupted in the entire Rawalakot area.
Pakistan should improve its internal situation
Drawing the attention of the international community, Anupama Singh said that Pakistan has completely converted this area into a military cantonment. The lands of the local citizens are being illegally encroached upon and as part of a well-planned conspiracy, demographic changes are being carried out so that the original inhabitants can be made a minority. Citizens have been completely deprived of basic and democratic freedoms. Apart from this, the organization alleges that the supply of essential food items has been stopped amid the emergency situation. Due to which a situation of starvation has arisen there.
Strong message to Pakistan
India gave a strong message to Pakistan from the Human Rights Council forum, saying that it should focus on improving its internal political and economic crisis instead of making false and fabricated claims on India’s integral territories. India demanded that Pakistan immediately stop using force on the citizens of PoJK and respectfully resolve their legitimate problems. This aggressive stance of India has strengthened Pakistan’s siege on the global stage.
