PM Modi Bengal Visit: ‘West Bengal Day’ On the occasion of the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tarakeswar in Hooghly district of West Bengal on Saturday, where while addressing the historic program, he emphasized on the culture, heritage and development of the state. After offering prayers at the Tarakeshwar temple, PM Modi addressed the public meeting and mentioned the issues related to the history of Bengal, partition and the identity of the state. During this, he said that the land of Bengal has worked to give a new direction to the country and it is important to convey its glorious history to the new generation.

A large number of people were present in the program. This visit of PM is being considered as the first major public program after the formation of BJP government in West Bengal. It seems as if Bengal is now free from the shackles and the return of its glory has started. He also expressed his views regarding the development projects and schemes of the Central Government in the state.

Development is happening like lightning

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during the public meeting that the double engine government (NDA) has started working at a fast pace to fill the potholes created by first the opposition and then the TMC in West Bengal for many decades. Now decisions are being taken here at lightning speed. Work on incomplete projects is being carried forward continuously for many years. In this sequence, various development projects worth hundreds of crores have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid here today.

Congress wanted to make Bengal a part of Pakistan

In his address, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the history of the partition of Bengal. He said that it is very important to make the present generation aware of the importance of Paschim Banga Day and the history of that time. The PM said that when efforts were being made to make the entire Bengal a part of the enemy country Pakistan, the Congress leaders had prostrated themselves on the ground in front of the conspirators. In the same sequence, he further said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had strongly opposed it. He launched the Bengali-Hindu Homeland Movement and played an important role in saving the existence of West Bengal.

PM also spoke on Yoga Day

During his address, Prime Minister Modi also said important things on Yoga Day. He said that International Yoga Day is to be celebrated tomorrow in the entire country and the world. This time I will participate in Yoga Day in West Bengal. The message sent from the sacred lands of yogis like Swami Vivekananda and Maharishi Aurobindo will guide the entire world. I would like that this time Yoga Day should be organized in every corner of Bengal and everyone should understand the importance of Yoga.

Will participate in Yoga Day program on 20th June

Prime Minister Modi will lead the program of International Yoga Day organized at Red Road, Kolkata on June 20. In which a large number of people are said to be likely to participate. After the Yoga Day event, PM Modi will also commission three indigenous naval ships designed and built by GRSE in Kolkata into the Indian Navy.
