Suzuki Jimny XL Rhino Edition— Suzuki Motors has launched the most premium and expensive variant of its powerful off-roader SUV Jimny in the global market so far. This new model has been named Suzuki Jimny XL Rhino Special Edition. The company has launched it in the Australian market, which is completely based on the 5-door Jimny XL. This is a limited-run model, that is, the company will sell only limited units of it, which makes it very different and special from ordinary vehicles.

Jimny XL Rhino: What’s special in this special edition?
The company has given the Rhino Special Edition a more rough-and-tough and muscular look than the regular model. Its exterior features special rhino themed graphics along with gloss black and satin aluminum side decals. At the front of the car, ‘SUZUKI’ heritage-design front grille has been used in place of Suzuki’s traditional vertical slat grille. Apart from this, this SUV has been given newly designed 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which further improves its stance. This vehicle has been exclusively introduced in Kinetic Yellow shade with black roof.
Premium cabin and special ‘Rhino Go Pack’
To give a premium feel as soon as you step inside the vehicle, satin silver air vent surrounds and black leather door handles with kinetic yellow stitching have been provided, which have laser-etched Rhino logo. Talking about the features, it gets upgraded Pioneer speakers, 8-color customizable footwell illumination and Jimny branded rubber floor mats.
Along with this, the company is also offering a special ‘Rhino Go Pack’ delivery package. This lifestyle bundle includes adventure accessories like Rhino branding metal key case, cool box, portable Bluetooth speaker, thermal tumbler, blanket and water bottle.
No changes in engine and transmission
Mechanically, no changes have been made in this limited edition. It gets the same old and reliable 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates 101 hp power and 130 Nm torque. It comes with Suzuki’s All-Grip Pro 4WD system. Customers have the option of both 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Price and Indian connection
In the Australian market, the price of manual variant of Jimny XL Rhino Special Edition has been fixed at AU$ 44,990 (approximately Rs 29.83 lakh) and the price of automatic variant has been fixed at AU$ 47,990 (approximately Rs 31.82 lakh). It is about 10,000 Australian dollars (about Rs 6.63 lakh) more expensive than the regular Jimny XL.

What will be the impact on the Indian market?
This news is very important from the point of view of the Indian automotive sector because the 5-door Jimny XL sold in Australia is manufactured in Maruti Suzuki’s plant in India. However, the company has not yet made any official confirmation regarding the launch of this special Rhino Edition in the Indian market. Currently, the ex-showroom price of Maruti Jimny in India starts from Rs 12.32 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.45 lakh.
