‘Encounter is fake, CM Samrat should apologise’, Tejashwi Yadav furious
Bihar government has ordered a judicial inquiry into the recent police encounter in Bhojpur district. In fact, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari, a resident of Biloti village of Shahpur police station area of Bhojpur, was killed in an encounter by the police on Wednesday. This encounter has backfired for Bihar Police. Hundreds of people from the area have been protesting against this encounter for two days. Now the issue has spread throughout the state, due to which it has also become political.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary himself has also given clarification. In a post on social media, he said, ‘An independent judicial inquiry into the encounter that took place on Wednesday in Biloti village will be conducted under the supervision of a retired High Court judge.’
Fairness and transparency will be maintained
He said that the judicial inquiry will ensure thorough investigation of all aspects of the incident with impartiality and transparency. Meanwhile, Bihar Police has suspended four policemen including a station in-charge in this case. This action was taken after a video surfaced in which Bharat Bhushan is seen pointing a pistol towards the police force and the policemen have been accused of not reacting in time.

understand the whole matter
According to the police, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari opened fire on policemen during an operation in Biloti village on Wednesday, following which retaliatory action was taken in self-defence and to ensure the safety of the common people. Bharat Bhushan, who was injured by the bullet, died while being taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital. In the initial statement of the police, Tiwari was described as ‘mentally unwell’.
However, Tiwari’s family members and others say that he was a social worker and constantly raised local problems with the administration. In a purported video circulated on social media, Bharat Bhushan Tiwari can be seen throwing away his weapon before the encounter.
Ministers themselves raised questions
At the same time, it has been claimed in the police statement that Bharat Bhushan Tiwari was continuously firing at the police, due to which in retaliation he was shot in the leg. BJP minister Mithilesh Tiwari, Buxar BJP MLA Anand Mishra and former Union minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey have also raised questions regarding this incident.
Tejashwi Yadav told fake encounter
On the other hand, National Working President of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav has completely termed this incident as ‘fake encounter’. He has demanded an apology from Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Speaking to the media in Patna, Tejashwi said, ‘This is a clear case of fake encounter. Since Samrat Chaudhary is both the Chief Minister and Home Minister of Bihar, he should apologize.

The RJD leader said, ‘On one hand the government has ordered a judicial inquiry, while on the other hand a case has been registered against the family members of the deceased. Samrat Chaudhary should clarify on this double attitude. Tejashwi alleged that fake encounters are part of the government’s strategy to divert people’s attention from real issues.
Encounter on the basis of caste also
He said, ‘This is not the first fake encounter in Bihar. Many such cases have come to light earlier also. The government also conducts encounters on the basis of caste. To divert attention from real issues, the government creates fake encounters, changes names of places and cuts security of the opposition. Meanwhile, Independent MP Pappu Yadav visited the deceased’s village in Bhojpur and met the family members.
