gold price today:- Gold prices have fluctuated significantly this week. Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) 24-carat gold futures fell by Rs 2,070 to Rs 1,47,239 per 10 grams till the close of the market on June 19. According to the Indian Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at Rs 144,970 per 10 grams till Friday. Since the MCX and IBJA markets are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, the same prices will be valid on both days. Gold and silver prices have fallen over the week.
How much cheaper is gold and silver
The price of gold on MCX was recorded at Rs 1,54,908 per 10 grams on June 1, which has fallen to around Rs 1,44,938 per 10 grams by June 19. This means that gold fell by Rs 10,070 per 10 grams. Silver, meanwhile, fell from Rs 2,63,458 per kg to Rs 2,33,010 per kg. Silver prices fell by Rs 30,448 per kg.
How much cheaper is gold in the IBJA market?
According to IBJA, the price of 24-carat gold with 999 purity was Rs 150646 per 10 grams on 15-Jun-26. On the last trading day of this week, 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 144,970 per tola. This means that gold has fallen by Rs 5676.
Why did the price of gold and silver fall?
According to experts, several global factors have contributed to the decline in gold and silver prices.
Withdrawals from gold and silver ETFs have also dampened investor perceptions.
Experts predict that gold and silver could rally again if inflation is contained after global tensions settle and interest rates begin to be cut. For now, the strategy for investors is to invest slowly and thoughtfully rather than panic in a downturn.
