NEET Exam: PM Modi waited at the airport for 45 minutes to avoid causing inconvenience to candidates.

The exam is being conducted from 2 pm to 5:15 pm at 5,440 centers in the country and 14 centers abroad.

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after reaching Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport from Kolkata, postponed his departure to his residence for some time so that any candidate appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) re-examination is not inconvenienced due to traffic restrictions. According to sources, the Prime Minister reached the airport at around 1:15 pm, but instead of immediately leaving for his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg, he stayed there.

According to sources, since the NEET exam was to begin at 2 pm, the Prime Minister decided to leave for his residence only after the exam began, so that no student faces any problem in reaching the exam center and the traffic system is also not affected.

The Prime Minister was returning from a two-day tour of Odisha and West Bengal, where, among other events, he had also attended an event in Kolkata on the occasion of International Yoga Day on Sunday. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the re-examination of NEET-UG 2026, which is for admission to undergraduate courses in medical colleges, on Sunday.

This exam was held on May 3, but it was canceled due to allegations of question paper leak. This examination is being conducted on Sunday from 2 pm to 5:15 pm at 5,440 centers in the country and 14 centers abroad.
