It is alleged that in an intoxicated state, he beat his two-year-old son so badly that he died during treatment. There is an atmosphere of mourning and anger in the area after this incident. According to the information, this incident took place on June 19 in Lakhpat Colony Part-2 of Mithapur located in Jaitpur police station area of ​​south-east Delhi. Chandan Sharma, 34, lived here with his wife Aarti and two children. He works as a carpenter by profession. According to the police, Chandan had the habit of alcohol and other drugs. On the day of the incident, a call was received by the police control room at around 1:30 pm, after which the police team reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

What did the investigation reveal?

Initial police investigation revealed that the accused had reached home in an inebriated state. After coming home, an argument started with his wife Aarti over some issue. Gradually the dispute escalated and the atmosphere became tense. It is alleged that in anger Chandan first assaulted his wife. After this he also targeted the two children present in the house. The most injured was the two-year-old son, who was seriously injured.

Child died during treatment

There was chaos in the family after the incident. It is alleged that the child suffered serious injuries during the fight. Immediately after this Aarti informed the police. With the help of nearby people, the injured child was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment. Doctors tried their best to save the child, but his condition continued to be critical. Ultimately the innocent child died during treatment on Saturday morning. The family and local people are shocked by the news of the child’s death. The police completed the necessary legal procedure and conducted postmortem of the body and later handed it over to the family.

Reena Sharma, sister-in-law of the accused, told that Chandan had a very angry nature. According to him, he often quarreled over small matters and also kept arguing with people in the locality. The accused’s brother-in-law Shambhu claimed that he used to beat his wife and children ever since their marriage. Family members say that after drinking alcohol, his behavior became more aggressive, due to which there was often tension in the house.
