Geetank Ayush won gold medal in Junior National Karate Championship
Patna. Geetank Ayush, a resident of Ramnagar in Supaul district of Patna, has brought glory to Bihar by winning the gold medal in the Kiyo Sub Junior Karate Championship-2026, organized from 3 to 7 June 2026 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Geetank performed brilliantly while playing in the Sub Junior Boys 7 years age group (25 kg) competition. They won the gold medal by defeating players from Sikkim, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra respectively. Throughout the tournament, Geetank showed his talent by winning all his matches in a one-sided manner.
Geetank Ayush’s father Ajay Kumar works in the secretariat, while his mother Sweety Aakriti is a housewife. Geetank is living in Patna and receiving karate training under the guidance of his coach Subhash Kumar. Coach Subhash Kumar said that Geetank is a very hardworking, passionate and dedicated player towards the game. He said that looking at his dedication and discipline, it is believed that in future he will bring glory to Bihar at national and international level also.
People of the area including academicians Hareram Mandal, Nishant, Satyanarayan Mandal, Aman Yadav, Gauri Choudhary, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Lalit Mandal expressed happiness over this achievement of Geetank and wished them for a bright future.
