Raman Raghav 2.0

‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, directed by Anurag Kashyap, is counted among the darkest psychological thriller films of Bollywood movies. The film is inspired by Raman Raghav, the infamous serial killer of the 1960s, who committed several murders in Mumbai. The way Nawazuddin Siddiqui has played the character of a mentally unstable murderer in the film, it makes the audience uncomfortable. The film is not just the story of murders, but also tries to peek inside the mind of the criminal. This is the reason why this film is still included in the favorite list of thriller lovers.

‘The Stoneman Murders’

‘The Stoneman Murders’ is based on the mysterious murders that shook Mumbai in the 1980s. People sleeping on the footpath were being murdered one by one and the police had no concrete clues. In the film, ‘KK Menon’ has played the role of a police officer who tries to solve this mystery. The most interesting aspect of the story is that even in his present life, Stoneman’s identity could never be completely proven. This unsolved mystery makes the film even more scary.

‘Auto Shankar’

If you like watching web series, then Auto Shankar can be a great option for you. This series is based on the story of Tamil Nadu’s infamous criminal Gauri Shankar alias ‘Auto Shankar’. In the 1980s, Auto Shankar was accused of several murders and criminal activities. The series presents his world of crime, political connections and police investigation in a very interesting manner. As the story progresses, the audience closely experiences the dangerous nexus of crime and power.

‘Cyanide’

‘Cyanide’ is a film whose impact remains for a long time after watching it. The film is said to be inspired by the events following the Rajiv Gandhi assassination and tells the story of people who use cyanide to escape arrest. The film’s atmosphere, tension and connection to real events make it extremely impressive. It is not just a crime drama but also gives a glimpse of the political and social conditions of that era.

‘Sangharsh’

‘Sangharsh’, released in 1999, is still counted among the most memorable thriller films of Bollywood. This film starring Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Ashutosh Rana tells the story of a serial killer who kidnaps children and sacrifices them. Ashutosh Rana’s performance in the film is still counted among the scariest villain characters of Hindi cinema. His screen presence and the horror of his character shocks the audience to the core.
