Lucknow Fire Tragedy: 15 people died while many others were injured in a massive fire that broke out in a building in Aliganj area of ​​Lucknow. Yogi government announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.

After the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the spot and took stock of the relief and rescue operations.   • Where did the accident happen- This massive fire incident took place on Monday afternoon in a three-storey commercial complex located on Usha Mehta Marg in Aliganj area.
  • How the fire broke out – The cause of the fire has not been officially confirmed yet. According to eyewitnesses, the fire started from the lower part of the building.
  • What was operating in the building – A pet shop was operating on the ground floor of the building, while a coaching centre, computer library and gaming zone were operating on the first and second floors.
  • Stairs became the path of death – The fire started spreading from bottom to top, due to which the narrow stairs were filled with smoke and flames and it became difficult for the students to get out.
  • Students were forced to jump from the windows – When it became difficult to breathe due to smoke, many students tried to save their lives by jumping from the first and second floors.
  • Took shelter in the bathroom- Some students locked themselves inside the bathroom to escape the smoke.
  • Many lost their lives due to suffocation – Due to lack of adequate ventilation in closed rooms and bathrooms, smoke filled the rooms, due to which many students died due to suffocation and burns.
  • Local people showed bravery – the people present at the spot brought down many students with the help of electric wires and balconies and tried to catch the students who jumped.
  • Fire brigade personnel did the rescue by breaking the wall – Due to heavy smoke, the fire brigade made a way inside by breaking the wall of the neighboring building and took out the smoke with the help of exhaust fan.
  • Order for investigation – Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak have expressed deep condolence over the accident. All the injured are being treated at KGMU Trauma Center and instructions have been given for a high-level investigation into the entire matter.
