Maharashtra MLC Elections Result: Big victory of Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra MLC elections, won 16 out of 17 seats and hoisted the flag.

New Delhi. The ruling Mahayuti alliance has won a big victory in the Legislative Council (MLC) elections held in Maharashtra. By winning 16 out of 17 seats, it went to BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). BJP’s rebel leader Gokul Gite has won one seat. After not getting a ticket from BJP, Gokul contested the elections as an independent candidate from Nashik and defeated Eknath Shinde’s party candidate Narendra Darade. In this way, the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi alliance comprising Congress, Shiv Sena, UBT and NCP Sharad Pawar faction has suffered a major setback in the MLC elections.

Candidates had already been elected unopposed on 6 seats. Out of which BJP got 2 seats, Shiv Sena Shinde faction got 2 seats and NCP Ajit Pawar faction got two seats. Elections were held on the remaining seats, the results of which were declared today. Of the total seats, BJP won maximum 11 seats. Whereas Shiv Sena Shinde faction has got 3 seats while NCP with Ajit Pawar faction has got 2 seats.

Dushyant Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena Shinde faction) from Yavatmal.

Aniket Tatkare (NCP Ajit Pawar faction) from Raigarh-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg.

Vikram Kakade (NCP Ajit Pawar faction) from Pune.

Arun Lakhani (BJP) from Wardha-Gadchiroli-Chandrapur.

Prajakt Tanpure (BJP) from Ahilyanagar

Reacting to the victory, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that under the successful leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Bhai Shah and the guidance of BJP National President Nitin Nabin, the BJP-Mahayuti alliance has won the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections with a landslide majority.
