Had gone to LSG for 27 crores, now Rishabh Pant returned to Delhi Capitals for 15 crores

Before IPL 2027, a big trade deal has come to light in IPL. In this high-profile deal, Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav have swapped their respective teams. This agreement between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is being considered as one of the biggest trades of recent times. Under this deal, Rishabh Pant has again joined Delhi Capitals for Rs 15 crore while Kuldeep Yadav has joined the LSG team for Rs 13.50 crore.

Earlier, a contract worth Rs 27 crore was signed between Rishabh Pant and LSG. Kuldeep Yadav had played for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026 for Rs 13.25 crore. Now Rishabh Pant’s earnings will be reduced by Rs 12 crore and Kuldeep Yadav got Rs 25 lakh more. Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, LSG’s performance in IPL was very poor and after the end of the 2026 season, he also left the captaincy of LSG.

Pant returns home to Delhi

Rishabh Pant took over the captaincy of Lucknow before IPL 2025 but the team’s performance was not as expected. He scored 269 runs in IPL 2025 and 312 runs in 2026. The team tried him in different batting positions but he could not leave much of an impact.

Rishabh Pant’s IPL career started with Delhi Capitals. He played 111 matches for Delhi from 2016 to 2024 and was counted among the most important players of the team. Apart from this, he also captained in 43 matches between 2021 and 2024 and remained the main face of the team for a long time.

Kuldeep Yadav will become the new strength of LSG bowling.

On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav performed very well for Delhi Capitals. From 2022 till now, he has taken 72 wickets in 65 matches and made the team’s bowling very strong. He has been one of the most reliable wicket-taking bowlers of Delhi. Now Kuldeep Yadav has become a part of LSG’s bowling unit. Kuldeep is also one of the important spin bowlers of the Indian team and with his presence LSG’s spin attack is expected to become even stronger.
