Saudi-Qatar Meeting: Big meeting of Saudi and Qatar officials in Riyadh, decision taken on security and military cooperation

Saudi Arabia and Qatar held an important meeting in Riyadh to strengthen their security and military partnership. The sixth meeting of the Joint Security and Military Committee of the two countries was held on 23 June 2026. The main objective of this meeting was to improve security coordination between the two countries and increase mutual cooperation.

Senior officials attended the meeting

Qatar’s delegation in this important meeting was led by Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al Kaabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. At the same time, from Saudi Arabia’s side, Assistant Minister of the Interior Ministry, Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Falih led the Saudi delegation.

Discussion on security and military cooperation

Officials of both the countries discussed many important agendas during the meeting. In this, ongoing joint initiatives mainly in the security and military fields were reviewed. This meeting was part of efforts to further strengthen coordination between the two countries so that future security challenges can be jointly addressed.
