This warrant has been issued against South actor Prakash Raj on the report of lawyer Dilip Kumar. In 2019, lawyer Dilip Kumar had lodged a complaint at Halasuru Gate Police Station.
The complainant says that Raj has voter ID cards of four states, which include Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. If this is proved, it will be a violation of election rules. Dilip Kumar said that the police did not take any action on the complaint. He later also contacted the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner and the Election Commission. However, when he did not get any response from there, he approached the court. According to the rules of the Election Commission, any citizen can be registered as a voter only at one place in the country.
