Tezzbuzz Desk – President Draupadi Murmu honored 65 personalities with Padma awards at the second Padma Award distribution ceremony held in New Delhi on Tuesday. On this occasion, many stalwarts from the world of art, cinema and music were honored for their outstanding contributions.

Actors Mammootty, R. who have made significant contribution to the cinema world, were present at the ceremony. Madhavan and famous singer Alka Yagnik were also awarded the Padma Award. During this, Alka Yagnik was honored with Padma Bhushan.

However, a picture of Alka Yagnik during the ceremony left fans a little worried. When her name was called, she first met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and then proceeded towards the President to receive the award. During this time a woman supported her, however she herself stood still while receiving the award.

Seeing this glimpse of Alka Yagnik, discussion about her health started on social media, but during the program she appeared on the stage with complete respect.

In the same ceremony, Malayalam cinema superstar Mammootty was honored with Padma Vibhushan. He became a part of this special moment with his family. He was also accompanied by son and actor Dulquer Salmaan, wife Sulfat and daughter Surumi.

Whereas, actor R. Madhavan was awarded the Padma Shri. Before receiving the award, he also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and talked for some time. Amidst applause, President Draupadi Murmu presented him this prestigious honour.
