Health Minister launches ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign 2026’ in Delhi, door-to-door awareness campaign will run till July 31
Health Minister of Delhi Government, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh has launched Stop Diarrhea Campaign 2026 from Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday. Under this campaign, the Health Department will distribute ORS packets and Zinc tablets free of cost to children and their parents. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated the Model Nutrition Center and issued new SOP related to pregnancy.
Stating the commitment of Delhi Government towards strengthening and improving health, nutrition and maternal health services, the Health Minister said that the objective of ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign 2026’ is to save children from diarrhea.
Delhi government has launched ‘Stop Diarrhea Campaign 2026’ to strengthen child and maternal health services. This campaign will run till July 31, in which special focus will be on door-to-door contact, awareness and strengthening health services. The Health Minister has appealed to Asha, ANM, Anganwadi workers, health workers and community volunteers to provide information related to prevention and treatment of diarrhea to every family so that this campaign can be successful.
Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated Delhi’s first Model Integrated Nutrition Center at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital in East Patel Nagar. The goal of the Delhi government is to establish at least one such center in every district. Through this centre, the government plans to provide holistic health services by combining medical systems like allopathy, AYUSH, homeopathy, Unani and yoga.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh released new evidence-based SOPs and clinical algorithms for the management of gestational diabetes and postpartum sepsis.
He further said that this center will provide holistic health services to children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and families facing nutritional challenges. During the program, ORS packets and zinc tablets were distributed to children and parents.
He appealed to all the citizens to make this campaign a movement with public participation. This initiative will help in protecting children from diseases like diarrhea during the monsoon season.
