Special rules will be applicable in England for Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Vaibhav Suryavanshi: While the Indian cricket team has to play a 2-match T20 series against the host team in Ireland from June 26, they will then tour England from July 1 to play a 5-match T20 series. The one player who is going to be watched the most in both these series is 15 year old young left handed batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. While Suryavanshi is expected to debut in international cricket in the series against Ireland, a different rule will also be applicable for him during the T20 series against England in which he will be given a separate dressing room from the rest of the players of Team India, when he will have to change his clothes before and after the match.

ICC’s safeguarding procedure rules are being followed
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is only 15 years old and ICC’s safeguarding procedure will have to be implemented. According to this rule, players of 16 years of age or younger are not allowed to use the changing rooms meant for adults. Due to this rule, there will be separate facilities for Vaibhav Suryavanshi at all the venues where his parents will also stay with him. However, it is not yet clear whether the same rule will be implemented for Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the series against Ireland or not. Even though Vaibhav’s dressing room will be different from that of other players during the match, he will remain together during the conversation during the match.

Vaibhav’s parents will stay in the team hotel only
With the selection of Vaibhav Suryavanshi for the tour of Ireland and England, BCCI has decided to send his parents also along with him. In such a situation, he will stay in the same hotel where the team will be stopped which is not included in the protocol. But this decision has been taken considering Vaibhav’s age. The Indian team will play under the leadership of new captain Shreyas Iyer on this tour, on which everyone’s eyes are going to be. Team India will play a two-match T20 series against Ireland on June 26 and 28, and after that it will leave for England for a 5-match T20 series.
