Shrikant Shinde warns of more political turbulence in Maharashtra, targets Uddhav Thackeray
Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde on Thursday launched a fresh attack on former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, claiming that internal dissatisfaction within the Shiv Sena (UBT) could lead to further political developments in the state.
Speaking amid ongoing political activity in Maharashtra, Shinde said that recent developments were only the beginning and suggested that additional changes could emerge in the coming days.
Using the phrase “Picture is still pending”Shinde indicated that Maharashtra’s political landscape could witness more shifts as tensions continue between rival factions of the Shiv Sena.
Shinde Targets Uddhav Thackeray
Shrikant Shinde alleged that discontent was growing within the Uddhav Thackeray-led camp and claimed that some leaders and workers were unhappy with the party’s current direction. He argued that the challenges facing the Shiv Sena (UBT) were internal in nature and suggested that the leadership would have to address concerns among its own ranks. The remarks come against the backdrop of a prolonged political battle between the faction led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and the group headed by Uddhav Thackeray.
Continuing Political Rivalry
The split in the Shiv Sena has remained one of the defining developments in Maharashtra politics over the past several years. Since the division of the party, both camps have repeatedly accused each other of abandoning the party’s original ideology and political legacy. Recent political statements from leaders of both factions have highlighted the continuing rivalry as each side seeks to strengthen its organizational presence ahead of future electoral contests.
Maharashtra Political Scene Remains Active
Political observers are closely watching developments in the state as parties continue outreach efforts and organizational restructuring. While Shrikant Shinde claimed that further political “earthquakes” could occur, no specific details regarding potential defections or organizational changes were officially announced. Leaders from the Uddhav Thackeray camp have previously rejected similar claims made by rival leaders and maintained that the party remains united. The latest remarks are expected to add to the political debate in Maharashtra, where competition between major regional and national parties remains intense.
As political activity continues across the state, attention is likely to remain focused on any future developments involving the rival Shiv Sena factions and their strategies ahead of upcoming political battles.
