Terrorist attack alert in Delhi-Uttarakhand, security increased at temples, government offices and railway stations

New Delhi, June 28. Intelligence agencies have issued a high alert regarding the possibility of possible terrorist attacks in Delhi and Uttarakhand. Following the warning, security at major religious places, government institutions, railway stations and police establishments has been tightened in both the states. Security agencies are maintaining vigilance to deal with any possible threat.

According to intelligence sources, this alert was issued after receiving a threatening email. The email claimed that many temples, government offices, railway stations and police establishments in Delhi and Uttarakhand could be targeted in the coming days. Apart from this, some political leaders have also been mentioned, due to which the agencies are seriously investigating every aspect.

Increased vigilance amid dispute of Nihang Sikhs

This security alert has come to light after the recent dispute between Nihang Sikhs and the administration in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. On June 16, there was a protest demanding the release of four Nihang Sikhs arrested in connection with the clash in Karnaprayag market. However, the standoff at Nagarasu Gurdwara ended after the mediation of the Sikh delegation on June 23. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the District and Sessions Court granted bail to all four accused.

Increased surveillance in sensitive areas

After the alert, Delhi Police, Uttarakhand Police and Central Intelligence agencies have started reviewing the security arrangements of sensitive and crowded areas. Additional security forces have been deployed at religious places, transport hubs and government buildings. Delhi Police has started investigation to find out the authenticity of the threatening email and its source. Cyber experts are examining the digital trail of the email to clarify whether it is a real security threat or a prank by someone. At present, no official confirmation has been made regarding any specific place or time, but security agencies are keeping a close watch on every suspicious activity.
