Indian Railways Update: Timings of Several Special Trains Extended, See Now

Indian Railways: Good news for railway passengers. Good news awaits railway passengers as Northern Railway has decided to extend the operational hours of special trains to accommodate the rising passenger demand. This move is expected to benefit numerous travelers commuting between Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, as confirmed by Northern Railway itself.

According to a post shared on its social media handle These extensions to various dates aim to enhance ticket availability for passengers and alleviate waiting times to some extent.

Key highlights of the extended timing of these trains are as follows

– The Ranchi–Anand Vihar Terminal Special (02877/02878) will operate until the end of July, running on Saturdays and Sundays.
– The Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Patna (09119/09120) special train has been prolonged, offering relief to passengers traveling between Mumbai and Bihar.
– Additionally, the Ayodhya–Shukra Basti (09523/09524) and Indore–Hazrat Nizamuddin (09309/09310) special trains have also been extended.
– The Bhavnagar Terminus–Shukra Basti (09257/09258) train will have an extended operating period.

These trains will now run with increased frequency, from 4 to 9 trips per week, providing passengers with more flexibility. The extension of the train schedules now spans until July and August, beyond the initial announcement. Travelers are advised by the Railways to verify train timings, days of operation, and ticket availability before planning their journeys. Not only that, from November 2nd, there will be a partial change in the timetable of the Vande Bharat Express, which runs on two different routes. According to the railway administration, there will be a change in the timings of Varanasi-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express and Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat Express running from Cantt (Varanasi) railway station.

Train no. 20888 Varanasi-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will depart at 3:55 PM, ten minutes earlier than its scheduled departure time of 4:05 PM. Similarly, Train No. 22500 Varanasi-Deoghar Vande Bharat Express will depart at 6:10 AM, ten minutes earlier than its scheduled departure time of 6:20 AM. The change in train timetables may cause some inconvenience to passengers. Therefore, passengers should check their departure times carefully to avoid any confusion.
