The one who plays blossoms… What did PM Modi say in Mann Ki Baat?

Knews Desk- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the countrymen in the 135th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, discussed in detail India’s growing self-reliance, social initiatives and achievements in the sports sector. He said that half of the year 2026 has passed and in these months the country has achieved many such achievements, which fill every Indian with pride.

PM Modi particularly mentioned the progress being made in India’s naval and aviation sectors. He said that recently in a program organized in Kolkata, INS Dunagiri, INS Modhik and INS Agray were inducted into the Indian Navy, whose design and construction are completely indigenous. He called it a big success of ‘Make in India’. Speaking on the achievements of the aviation sector, the Prime Minister said that the C-295 aircraft has completed its first flight in India and 40 such aircraft are being manufactured in the country. This is not only strengthening the MSME sector but also creating new employment opportunities.

Discussing sports, PM Modi said that Indian youth are now adopting sports as a career. Praising India’s excellent performance in the World Yogasana Championship, he said that India won a total of 114 medals, including 102 gold medals. He said that this achievement shows the growing sports potential of the country. The Prime Minister also said that “he who plays, blossoms.”

PM Modi also mentioned social security schemes. He said that through Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, crores of people are getting insurance protection at low premium. He cited the example of a family from Nanded district of Maharashtra, which took an inspiring initiative by arranging accident insurance for thousands of people in the village on the occasion of marriage.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister also mentioned the ‘Hargila’ bird conservation campaign of Assam and told how through social awareness, a rare bird was conserved and made a part of the local identity. PM Modi said that India is moving rapidly towards self-reliance and security from sea to sky. He appealed to the countrymen for active participation in these efforts.
