Here a young man conspired with his ex-girlfriend to commit suicide. It is being told that there was a relationship between the two for a long time, but their relationship broke due to some issue. Angered by this, the young man allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and took her in a car to a deserted area.
It is alleged that the young man had already planted a bomb in the car, so that both of them would die together. NH-48 incident at Kallambela
In fact, after the alleged kidnapping of a girl on NH-48 near Kallambela in Tumkuru district of Karnataka on Saturday, a lover committed suicide by detonating a crude bomb inside the car. The woman and the taxi driver had a narrow escape, while the police recovered another crude bomb from the spot. Let us tell you that the deceased was identified as 30 year old Nagendra.
Who was a resident of Ankola in Uttara Kannada district. Preliminary investigation revealed that both the deceased Nagendra and Ramya had been living together for about six years. So Ramya was working as an assistant technician in the operation theater at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Bengaluru. Due to mutual differences between the two, he sided with Nagendra.
Nagendra was pressurizing for marriage
Tumakuru Superintendent of Police Ashok Venkat visited the spot and took stock of the situation. According to the police, Nagendra and Ramya, residents of Ankola area, were in a relationship for about eight years. Ramya, who works as a laboratory technician at Rajiv Gandhi University in Bengaluru, alleged that Nagendra was pressurizing her for marriage due to ongoing differences between the two, but she rejected the marriage proposal.
Girlfriend was taken away from PG by threat
Police said that on Saturday morning, Nagendra allegedly hired a taxi and went to the rented house (PG) where Ramya lived in Byrasandra, Bengaluru. Where there was an argument between the two and then he forcefully took Ramya with him in the car.
After the incident, one of Ramya’s roommates, who lives with her, lodged a missing complaint at Siddhapura police station in Bengaluru. And told that Nagendra threatened Ramya with a knife and then took her away.
Nagendra’s suicidal move
The driver told the police that the two had an argument, after which Nagendra allegedly attacked Ramya with a knife. After which Ramya managed to escape from the taxi. Meanwhile the driver stopped the car and ran to help him.
But Nagendra set fire to the bomb, causing a massive explosion. In this explosion, Nagendra died on the spot and the car was completely damaged. Police recovered an ‘unfused’ An (unexploded) bomb has also been recovered.
Taxi driver’s shocking revelation
The taxi driver has given a new and important statement to the police investigating the case, which is being confirmed. According to the driver, the cab in which the journey was taking place was called ‘Uber’ in the name of Nagendra. Was booked through (Uber). The driver told the police that the entire journey was normal and peaceful till they reached Kallambela.
However, during this time he received a phone call from Ankola, informing him that the woman had allegedly been kidnapped. The police is now investigating this statement of the driver thoroughly so that the truth of the incident can be ascertained.
Bomb blast occurred while saving Ramya
During the investigation of the case, taxi driver Praveen has made a serious revelation. She claimed that Nagendra had attacked Ramya with a knife during an argument. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, Praveen immediately stopped the car on the roadside and helped Ramya to safety by placing her on a passing motorcycle.
According to the driver, Ramya had already warned him that Nagendra had a country-made bomb. Praveen told investigators that when he returned to the car, he saw a country-made bomb in Nagendra’s hand.

According to Praveen, when he returned to the car, Nagendra had a country-made bomb in his hand. The driver allegedly snatched a country-made bomb from Nagendra and threw it, but Nagendra then set fire to another bomb, causing a massive explosion.
Police recovered an ‘unfused’ An (unexploded) bomb has also been recovered. Now the main focus of investigation is from where and how Nagendra got these bombs. At present, the police is thoroughly investigating this dreadful suicidal step of Nagendra and the motives behind the incident.
