Raipur: Taking major action against prostitution in Durg city of Chhattisgarh, the police has raided a lodge located in Indra Market. Let us tell you, the joint team of Kotwali police station and ACCU has detained three girls and three men during the action. Let us tell you, in this case, a case has been registered against the operator and other accused under relevant sections of the Immoral Prostitution (Pita) Act.
Information was received from informer
According to the police, information was received from the informer that illegal activities were being conducted in Jalaram Lodge located in Indra Market, after which, based on the information, the police surrounded the lodge from all sides in a planned manner and conducted a search operation. During the investigation, the police recovered cash, mobile phones, a large number of condom packets and other incriminating materials along with several documents, which have been confiscated.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that an ice cream parlor and a sweet shop was being operated in the lower part of the building where the action was taken, while prostitution was allegedly being carried out in the lodge above. Police have also received information that only identified customers or those who were in prior contact were allowed entry here.
After the action, the police have taken the lodge operator into custody and started questioning. Along with this, other arrested people are also being interrogated separately so that it can be found out for how long this activity was going on and who all played a role in it.
What did the CSP of Durg say?
CSP of Durg said that this raid was conducted after receiving secret information. Initial investigation indicated that the lodge had been operating for a long time, while the alleged illegal activities had been going on for the last few months. At present, the police is thoroughly investigating the case on the basis of the recovered documents and other evidence. Officials say that further legal action will be taken based on the facts revealed in the investigation.
