The police requested the court to extend the custody, saying several important aspects needed to be investigated in the investigation of the case, including the exact location of the crime scene in the fort and the missing passport.

The prosecution said deceased Ketan Aggarwal’s fiancee Siya Goyal (20) and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary (22) have been arrested for allegedly conspiring to murder Ketan Aggarwal and pushing him from the parapet of Lohagarh Fort in Pune district.

The prosecution, while seeking extension of custody, said investigation has revealed that the accused had visited the fort to select a suitable place for the murder and the police wanted to identify the places where rehearsals were allegedly carried out.

Assistant public prosecutor Rajshree Virkud told the court that the police also wanted to find out where Sia Goyal had thrown Ketan’s passport while going to Mumbai on June 6.
