Bengaluru: A sensational and heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Here a young man has been accused of allegedly stabbing his 23-year-old girlfriend to death. Initial investigation has revealed that there was a dispute going on between the two regarding marriage for a long time. There was a stir in the area after this incident that happened on Sunday night. The police arrested the accused shortly after the incident.

Both were in a relationship for three to four years
According to the police, deceased Anjali and accused Rajiv worked in the same company. Both were in a relationship for the last three to four years and knew each other well. However, it is being told that Anjali’s family was not happy with this relationship due to Rajeev’s family and social background and was opposing their marriage. Investigation has also revealed that Rajiv had tried many times to convince Anjali and her family for marriage, but he did not get success. Due to family pressure, Anjali had started maintaining distance from him in recent times, due to which the tension between the two had increased.
Invited for dinner, then there was an argument about marriage.
According to police officials, Rajiv had called Anjali for dinner on Sunday evening. During the conversation between the two, the issue of marriage once again came up, after which an altercation started between them. It is being told that when the dispute escalated, Anjali left from there but Rajiv followed her. It is alleged that during this time Rajiv got angry and attacked Anjali with a knife. Anjali was seriously injured in the attack. People present nearby immediately took him to the nearest hospital but he died during treatment.

Accused arrested within few minutes
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took swift action and arrested the accused Rajiv within a few minutes. Police have sent the body of the deceased to MS Ramaiah Hospital for post-mortem. At present the police is investigating this matter from every aspect. Officials say that initial investigation has revealed a dispute regarding marriage, but further action will be taken only after investigating all the facts. This incident has once again raised serious questions about the increasing tension in relationships and the violent incidents related to it.
