All restrictions on petrol and diesel end from July 1, government lifts restrictions

The central government has decided that the temporary restrictions imposed on the sale of petrol and diesel will be removed from July 1. The government says that fuel supply around the world has now become normal to a great extent. Therefore, there is no need to continue these restrictions imposed as a precautionary measure. After this decision, the sale of petrol and diesel across the country will be as normal as before.

In the order issued on Monday, the government said that from July 1, business customers will also be able to buy petrol and diesel from petrol pumps without any additional restrictions. This decision is expected to provide great relief to transport companies, factories, logistics sector and other businesses, because for some time now all of them were facing problems due to restrictions on fuel.

Sanctions were imposed due to Middle East crisis

The government had imposed these temporary restrictions when the risk of crude oil supply being affected had increased due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East. India imports most of its crude oil from foreign countries, hence such developments in the world have a direct impact on the availability and prices of petrol and diesel in the country. Keeping this in mind, the government had taken this decision, so that there is no shortage of fuel in the country and there is adequate supply.

The maximum restrictions were on commercial buyers

Commercial buyers were not allowed to purchase petrol and diesel from retail petrol pumps while the ban was in place. At the same time, a fixed daily limit for purchasing diesel was also fixed, so that if there is any problem in the supply of fuel, the common people do not have to face shortage of petrol and diesel. The aim of the government was to ensure that the supply of fuel in the domestic market remains balanced and is easily accessible to everyone.

Now fuel sales will be normal

The government believes that the situation in the international market is now stabilizing and there is no immediate major threat to fuel supply. Therefore, it has been decided to lift the temporary ban. From July 1, the sale of petrol and diesel across the country will be under normal rules. This will give impetus to transport and industrial activities as well as provide relief to commercial consumers.
