Yash hints at ‘Toxic’s female-led teaser after backlash

Toxic is one of the most awaited films of the year and is set to hit theatres on August 26, 2026, after multiple delays.

The first teaser was dropped on January 8, on Yash’s birthday, and revealed his character, Raya, a man who is presumably a criminal gang lord.

The whole teaser was solely focused on the 40-year-old actor, and surprisingly, none of the female cast got even a single glimpse, apart from a supporting actress.

The film stars big names from Bollywood like Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth, and their separate posters had also been revealed.

While it faced backlash for a scene that was called “obscene,” it was also criticised for not showing any of the female actors.

However, it seems the makers are now ready to address fans’ concerns with a new teaser featuring the female cast.

On June 30, the film’s official X handle shared a one-line post, tagging Yash: “Where are the ladies, @TheNameIsYash?”

To which he replied, writing, “Calm down! Ladies take time to come! Tomorrow, 01-07-2026, 11:33 AM.”

That clearly seems like a hint that the makers are set to reveal a teaser featuring the actresses.

In an earlier statement, the KGF actor reflected that the female characters in the film were not written as background roles but carried their own strength and purpose.

He further added that the women in the film were shown as powerful individuals who faced situations with courage and control.

The film is particularly important for Yash’s fans as it marks his return to theatres four years after the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2.
