Read, Digital Desk : Indian Ambassador to China Vikram Doraiswami on Monday met a senior official of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and discussed issues related to trade and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Doraiswami met Wang Liping, Director General of the Department of Asian Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of China, the Indian Embassy said in a post.
They discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They agreed to remain in touch.
Relations between the two countries soured after the clash in eastern Ladakh in 2020 and are now in the process of normalising ties.
Currently, the two countries have resumed the Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra, visas, flights, and high-level dialogue. Trade and commerce have been an important part of India-China relations.
