Video: ‘Cook was making a personal video…’ Shashank Singh’s counterattack on the allegations of assault; Said- No question of taking hostage

Actually, an FIR was registered against Shashank Singh, his father and former IPS officer Shailesh Singh and the driver of the family at Ratibad police station in Bhopal. This complaint was lodged by his former cook Vipendra Singh Tomar. It has been alleged in the complaint that when he asked to leave the job, he was beaten, abused and forcibly restrained.

Responding to these allegations, Shashank Singh told PTI that the allegations made in the complaint are not true. He said, ‘Nothing like this happened. How can a person who came on the evening of 25th and left on the morning of 28th be said to be held hostage?’

Shashank also raised questions on the efficiency of the cook. According to him, the cook had initially claimed that he knew how to cook all types of food, but later himself admitted that he did not know how to cook properly. He said that it is difficult to trust the words of such a person.

The cricketer hit back and alleged that Cook was recording videos by going into private rooms of the house. According to Shashank, he even went into the bedroom and made videos of the expensive and luxury items kept there and sent them to other people. He says that for this reason he was removed from the job.

Shashank also told that Cook had come to the house on the recommendation of an acquaintance of his father. According to him, as soon as he reached home, he demanded an advance of Rs 20 thousand. The family told him to work for the first few days, after which a decision would be taken regarding work and salary.

Shashank said that he did not have much conversation with the cook and only talked about his experience and cooking. On the other hand, complainant Vipendra Singh Tomar alleges that when he expressed his desire to leave the job, he was beaten up. On the basis of this complaint, the police have registered a case against Shashank Singh, his father and the driver.

Police say that investigation into the matter is ongoing. After completion of the investigation, further legal action will be taken based on the facts.
