Yash Raj Films (YRF)’s much-awaited female-led action thriller ‘Alpha’ has now hit the theatres. For a long time, the expectations of the audience were sky high due to its songs, trailer and vigorous promotion on social media. As soon as the film is released, initial reviews have started coming out. It is clear from the audience reactions that the film’s action sequences and the performances of the actors have won the hearts of the audience, but the audience is divided on the weakness of the story.


Great performance by Sharvari and Alia Bhatt

Initial reactions have been praising the film’s visuals, background music (BGM) and the acting of the cast. Especially the enthusiasm of the fans about Sharvari is visible, and many social media users have called her the biggest strength of this film.

A viral post said: “For the first time in the YRF spy universe, we have a female lead. ‘Alpha’ is one of the best films in the franchise—stunning BGM, sharp editing and action-packed!”

Hrithik Roshan’s cameo is a surprise for the audience.

Hrithik Roshan’s cameo in the film proved to be the biggest surprise. As soon as Hrithik arrived on screen, the theater echoed with applause and whistles. A viewer wrote, “#HrithikRoshan’s entry really rocks!” Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor also looked effective in their roles, which increased the star value of the film.


Mixed reactions from audience on weak story

While on one hand the action and performances are being praised, a large section of the audience is disappointed with the story of the film. Many viewers believe that the script does not live up to YRF’s reputation.

Another user said: “‘Alpha’ has some solid action moments, but the average and predictable story holds it back.”
