Demand for ultrasound and blood bank in Thakurdwara CHC, memorandum sent to Principal Secretary

Yameen Vikat, Thakurdwara. A big news is coming out from Thakurdwara area of Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Angered by the lack of basic medical facilities in the local Community Health Center (CHC) here, people have now directly approached the government. In view of the problems being faced by the patients of the area, the demand for starting ultrasound and blood bank facilities in Thakurdwara CHC has now intensified. In this regard, a formal memorandum has also been sent to senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh government so that this serious problem can be resolved as soon as possible.

In fact, in the name of health facilities, a large population of Thakurdwara and dozens of villages around it is dependent on this Community Health Center. But due to lack of necessary machines and facilities like blood bank in the hospital, it is proving to be a white elephant. Local social worker Rajendra Chandra Pandey has raised his voice against this plight. He has sent a detailed memorandum to the Principal Secretary (Medical Health and Family Welfare) of Uttar Pradesh Government demanding restoration of ultrasound and blood bank facilities in Thakurdwara CHC with immediate effect.

Patients have to go to Uttarakhand

Social worker Rajendra Chandra Pandey has narrated the painful story of the people of the area in his memorandum. He says that due to lack of ultrasound and blood bank facilities in CHC Thakurdwara, hundreds of patients have to face a lot of problems every day. Pregnant women and serious accident victims suffer the most. Due to lack of testing system at the local level, doctors also have difficulty in making an accurate diagnosis of the disease.

It is being told that whenever a patient needs blood in an emergency or needs ultrasound done in case of any serious illness, they are forced to run to the neighboring state of Uttarakhand or Moradabad district headquarters.

Waste of both time and money

Due to this rush, both time and money of poor patients are flowing like water. Sometimes the situation becomes so serious that patients die on the way to hospitals in other cities. Due to not getting proper treatment and investigation on time, anger is growing internally among the people of Thakurdwara against the administration. According to the local people, if both these facilities are available in the hospital, then thousands of people of the area will get a big support and they will not have to wander from door to door for treatment.

Rajendra Chandra Pandey has strongly demanded from the Uttar Pradesh government that in the larger public interest and to bring the health system of the area back on track, ultrasound and blood bank facilities should be made available in CHC Thakurdwara as soon as possible. Now it remains to be seen how soon the top officers sitting in Lucknow take cognizance of this sensitive matter and how long will the people of Thakurdwara get relief from this problem.
