Ram Mandir Row: The case of theft of offerings in Ayodhya’s Ram temple is in the headlines these days. Amidst the theft of offerings, a meeting of Ram Mandir Trust is going to be held after two days i.e. on 6th July. The meeting will start at 3 pm at Mani Ramdas Cantonment. The agenda of the meeting has come out.
In the meeting, first of all the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra will be considered whether their resignations should be accepted or not. Along with this, the interim report of SIT will also be discussed in the meeting. At the same time, creation of the post of CEO will also be discussed. The report of financial information related to Ram temple will also be discussed in the meeting. Let us tell you, after the case of theft of offerings came to light, Champat Rai had resigned from the post of General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust and Anil Mishra had resigned as a member of the Trust.
Sant Samaj came out in support of Champat Rai
Before the meeting, Sant Mandal has come out in support of Champat Rai. He said that Champat’s resignation should not be accepted. He said that it was Champat Rai who requested for SIT investigation. The saints also raised questions on the decisions related to treasury security and trust meeting and burst a bomb on Treasurer Govinddev Giri. After all, why did he not worry about the temple funds? The Trust had asked for the meeting on 11th July, so why is it being held ahead of time on 6th July? About Champat Rai, the saints said that Champat is completely innocent. The allegations made against him are baseless. The saints have full faith in his loyalty, honesty and working style.

Champat Rai was interrogated for 3 hours
The police had recently interrogated Champat Rai for about 3 hours in the Ram Temple offering theft case. During this, he was asked questions regarding the arrangement for management of offerings, responsibility of employees, disposal of complaints and administrative decisions. Champat Rai’s statement has also been recorded. Champat’s statement will be matched with other witnesses and documents. During interrogation, Champat Rai expressed grief over the theft in the temple and accepted his responsibility. Also, he has clearly denied any role in the theft.
These eight people were arrested in the offering theft case
- Ramashankar Yadav- Champat Rai’s former driver
- Lavkush Mishra – Was a member of the counting staff of offerings and cash.
- Anukalp Mishra- Used to be involved in counting of rupees in the calculation room.
- Subhash Chandra Srivastava- was in charge of the cash counting staff. Used to handle the staff.
- Karunesh Pandey- Used to bring the donated money to the room and count it.
- Manish Yadav- Used to count the offerings coming in the donation boxes.
- Avinash Shukla- Used to bring the donated money to the room and count it.
- Ramashankar Mishra- Used to bring the donation boxes to the counting room and monitor them.
