The country got its first greenfield refinery, PM Modi said – energy crisis was not allowed to come in time.

Tezzbuzz Desk – Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Balotra district on Saturday, July 04, where he inaugurated the country’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical project. During this, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma welcomed him.

Many senior leaders and officials including Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Tourism and Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat were present in the program.

Refinery project worth Rs 79,459 crore

HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) located at Pachpadra has been developed at a cost of about Rs 79,459 crore. It is the country’s first greenfield integrated refinery and petrochemical complex, with the capacity to refine 90 lakh metric tonnes of crude oil annually.

This project is expected to increase industrial development, investment and new employment opportunities in Rajasthan.

Development projects worth Rs 1.06 lakh crore inaugurated

During this period, the Prime Minister also inaugurated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth about Rs 1.06 lakh crore related to various sectors including Rajasthan.

These projects include many important works related to roads, railways, energy and tourism, which are expected to give new impetus to the development of the state.

PM Modi’s address

In the inauguration program, Prime Minister Modi said that this refinery will prove to be a milestone in the industrial development of Western Rajasthan and will give the state a new identity in the energy sector.

Praising the engineers and technical team, he said that completing the work on time despite difficult conditions shows their ability and dedication.

Emphasis on energy security and development

The Prime Minister said that India has now become the country with the fourth largest refining capacity in the world. Referring to the global energy crisis, he said that India has saved the country from a major crisis by taking timely steps.

He also said that the government not only lays the foundation stone of the projects, but also completes them and dedicates them to the public, so that the development of the country continues to gain momentum.
