Delhi Police Busted Fake Document Making Racket: Delhi Police has busted the fake document making racket. This racket was making fake documents with QR and barcode. These people used to make fake Aadhaar cards for ₹ 20 and voter ID for ₹ 15. The Special Cell of Delhi Police confirmed this fraud during cyber monitoring by testing the website, which used to generate fake Aadhaar a few seconds after the payment. There is a possibility of this gang spreading to many states. FIR has been registered and investigation is underway.
Actually, the police have received information about an alleged online racket, which was making fake government documents. The members of this racket were making fake Aadhaar cards for Rs 20 and fake Voter ID cards for Rs 15. After this the police took this major action.
Initial investigation revealed that an organized network was manufacturing fake ID cards and using them to obtain and update real identity and other official documents like PAN cards. Fake residence certificates, caste certificates, voter identity cards, birth and death certificates, Aadhaar related documents and other supporting records were allegedly provided on the website. In this, users were allowed to enter any personal details after making online payment.
Recharged Rs 100 in digital wallet
Delhi Police says that the fake Aadhaar and Voter ID cards were similar to the real documents in their format, design and appearance. Told that the QR code and barcode in these were also like the original. An officer created an account on the website using a fake identity and recharged Rs 100 into his digital wallet through the payment gateway provided on the platform. After this, he chose the Aadhaar option and entered fake details along with the photo, after which the portal allegedly created an Aadhaar-like card.
Police suspect that the network of this racket may be spread in many states. Delhi Police has registered an FIR in this matter and started further action.
