A heavy tree fell on a person while walking in Kurla, Mumbai, a horrifying scene of painful death captured.
A very sad and shocking incident has come to light from Kurla East area of the country’s financial capital Mumbai, which has once again raised serious questions on the claims of the local administration. A huge tree suddenly fell on a 55-year-old local citizen who was walking on the road near Nehru Nagar. The person who was seriously injured in this tragic accident was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him dead. In this season of monsoon and strong winds, there is now deep fear and anger among the local people regarding the safety on the roads of Mumbai. Life turned into debris in the blink of an eye, a hair-raising scene came to light. This entire painful incident has been recorded in the CCTV camera installed in a nearby shop. It can be clearly seen in the video that the victims were walking normally along the footpath as usual, when suddenly without any warning a huge branch of a tree fell on them. Eyewitnesses said that the explosion was so strong that the people nearby got scared and immediately efforts were made to remove the debris and take out the victim. Local police and BMC team have reached the spot and started investigation, but this accident has raised many serious questions regarding the safety of innocent citizens. After this accident, there is huge anger among the residents of Kurla and Nehru Nagar against Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Local citizens allege that the work of pruning dangerous and weak trees was not done properly before the onset of monsoon, due to which such fatal accidents are happening every day in Mumbai. Residents have demanded that the civic body should immediately conduct a survey in all residential and commercial areas of Mumbai and remove weak trees, so that no other innocent person has to lose his life in the future. The police have registered a case of accidental death (ADR) in this matter and started further legal action.
